"Third World Geography"

"The weight of just one feather"   To my understanding the poem "Third world Geography" by Cirilo F. Bautista, is about national identity of Filipinos, it talks about the influences on the Philippines and their identity being fought in history. Leaving their sacrifice and struggle for nothing. For me the issues being addressed in the poem is about the colonization of the Philippines and how it is affecting their national identity. In the line "A country without miracles" I think is probably referring to our country as a third world country because we are only colonized by the Spanish and also with times right now where most children don't even know basic culture has been an issue in the Philippines and also most children are now learning their first language as English and barely know any of their Dialect of origin. Garden of bubbles: Love, Loss and Waves of Memories

 Inspired by the poem "Gabu" by Carlos Angeles. "It is the sea pursues a habit of shores." The sea symbolizes memory, time, loss, and love because the waves keep gushing back and forth where I see the sea as a cycle of time and the sea always returns to give me more memories, loss and love. "The battering restlessness of the sea" These represent the time back then where me and my family faced hardships and challenges during the pandemic, not having a rest with all the suffering we have faced. We have suffered a lot back then, conflicts, losses, separation, and pain. The waves battering represent me, as life keeps crashing down on me. I lost my childhood friends, contact and my grandparents. Especially my grandmother. She was the one who took care of me when I was little because of my parent's separation and my mom had to work overtime and we never got to bond but I understand she was working hard for us, and I never bothered her and when the time struc...
